Add a sommelier-guided tasting station to your reception or party!
Our sommelier offers multiple wines at a tasting station positioned within your venue, entertaining small groups with information about the wines, as well as pairing suggestions. Sommelier-guided wine stations are a big hit at parties of 25+ people. Enhance a tasting station with a sampling of cheese, chocolate, beer or bourbon - the options are limitless!
TEAM BUILDING WINE EXPERIENCE
Our team building experiences can amplify the professional development goals for your team. Our two most popular team building experiences:
WINE BLENDING WORKSHOP: After a brief tasting experience with several classical wines, small groups break-out to experiment with their own blending, and will present their wine, including a creative blend name and team philosophy. The entire group will experience a blind tasting of the new blends and vote for their favorite. The members of the winning team will all receive a prize.
BLIND TASTING COMPETITION
Our sommelier introduces a curated menu of wines to all participants. Hints are given for identifying some of the wines, and the groups have to come to agree on the proper order of the wines in front them. Prizes are awarded for results and approach.
MEET OUR SOMMELIER
SAMARA KAUFMAN-WALDMAN
Sommelier
Helping people learn about and experience fine wine is Samara's passionate purpose. Her love for wine began when she found a 40-year old crawling vine of Zinfandel in her backyard when she was in college. Samara brought the grapes to the viticulture department at her university and the rest is history.
She has worked as a bartender and sommelier in many restaurants, however, she has spent the majority of her career as a business strategist, while moonlighting with wine education. Samara is a Certified Sommelier and received her certification in 1999.
You can often find Samara sipping on a Pet Nat, Red Burgundy, Muscadet or a Brunello.
She lives in Atlanta (by way of NYC and Southern California) with her husband and two children.
